LOS ANGELES – The Giumarra Companies is entering the New Year with fresh flavor and a new partnership, promising cherries and apricots from New Zealand. According to a press release, Giumarra will be working together with RD8 Fresh Produce. The New Zealand company, RD8, boasts a growing region in Central Otago that offers unique growing conditions resulting from the rich alluvial soils that promise valuable nutrients for cultivation. The conditions are perfect for growing apricots and cherries, with cold winters and hot, arid summers.

"RD8 Fresh Produce is a young, innovative and forward-thinking company with a wealth of experience, headed by Craig Hall and Dean Astill,” says Craig Uchizono, Vice President Southern Hemisphere for the Giumarra Companies.
