Mann Packing Hires Tim Short as Senior Director of Strategic Vegetable Operations, Jim Rodger as Safety Supervisor, and Josh Campo as Crop Production Manager

SALINAS, CA – Mann Packing has announced a slew of important hires this week. The company has added Tim Short, Jim Rodger, and Josh Campo as Senior Director of Strategic Vegetable Operations, Safety Supervisor, and Crop Production Manager, respectively.

Tim Short, Senior Director of Strategic Vegetable Operations, Mann PackingTim Short will assume the role of Senior Director of Strategic Vegetable Operations—responsible for maintaining relationships and the flow of communication with grower communities, primarily in Mexico and California. Short will also track developments and opportunities in Mexico in conjunction with Mann’s Director of International Supply Chain, as well as pursue sourcing and production resources in the Southeast.

Short joins the company from Misionero Vegetables, where he served as GM of Field Operations responsible for all growing and harvesting aspects of the company’s products. Prior to that, Short worked as Director of Leaf Operations for Dole Fresh Vegetables.

Jim Rodger, Safety Supervisor, Mann PackingAs Safety Supervisor for Mann’s HR team, Jim Rodger will be responsible for the supervision and development of training programs for employees on safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Roger’s responsibilities will extend to all the company’s facilities and affiliated sites.

Rodger had previously worked in a safety capacity at Lyons Magnus. He holds an Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).

Josh Campo, Crop Manager-Sugar Snap Peas, Mann PackingJosh Campo joins the company as Crop Manager, Sugar Snap Peas. In this capacity, Campo will coordinate growing activities including, planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, and recordkeeping.  

Campo is a recent graduate of Cal Poly with a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural and Environmental Plant Sciences and brings to his role experience in GIS mapping, micro irrigation, scouting, sampling, and related subsequent fertilization and pesticide applications.
