<p>Produce veteran Mike Kemp is announcing officially that he is retiring from the produce industry after more than 30 years, according to a press release. He served as Chief Operating Officer at Market Fresh for a year and a half and in his latest position was working as an Independent Business Analyst. Mike is motivated by his desire to spend more time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. During retirement, he plans to focus on volunteer work in the St. Louis area, where he has lived for eleven years.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">"Market Fresh Produce is sad to see Mike go, but grateful for the time, knowledge and experience he shared during his years of employment," a written statement expressed.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Before joining Market Fresh Produce in 2011, Mike Kemp spent most of his career working for Supervalu, where he served as the Corporate Director of Produce for over 10 years. He then went on to become the Vice President of Fresh for Save-a-Lot. Kemp also served on the United Fresh Produce Association's board for 10 years.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">“Mike and I have been friends for a long time.
