EAGLE, ID - The Idaho Potato Commission displayed its athletic prowess this past December through its sponsorship of the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. The Ohio University Bobcats took the win by a single point in the final seconds against the Utah State University Aggies. But the Bobcats were not the only ones to come out on top. The Idaho Potato Commission has collected over 4.3 billion media impressions due to its strategic marketing projects that supported the Idaho Potato pastime, according to a press release.

The game was televised on ESPN and also brought 30,000 fans to their feet. The IPC welcomed substantial recognition during the game and throughout the grounds due to its sponsorship package. The perks included everything from year-long signage and game time television and radio ads, to a thirty-second message from the man himself, Frank Muir, that aired at the commencement of the game.

"We could not be more pleased with our sponsorship of the Famous Idaho® Potato Bowl," said Frank Muir, President and CEO, IPC. "This single event generated positive and consistent media coverage for the Idaho potato brand over a five-month period. It also served as a platform to help us communicate the importance of the potato industry to the state of Idaho. Idaho® potatoes generate more than $4 billion in revenue and provide more than 30,000 jobs. Potatoes are among the primary reasons that Idaho is one of the most fiscally-sound states in the nation."

www.idahopotato.com
