KINGSBURG, CA – With high-quality California cherries looking to burst onto the retail market as early as next month, followed closely by the company’s grape program, King Fresh Produce is prepping for another successful year by strategically boosting its workforce. The company has brought Brock Wilson into the fold as its newest Sales and Marketing Representative. He will be based at the headquarters office and packing house in Dinuba, California.

Under this position, Brock will be responsible for developing key accounts, and bringing in fresh points of view to its marketing team. As King Fresh has noticed a shift in the tools its buyers utilize, the company values his appointment and the insights he will bring surrounding technology and its impact on sales.

Keith Wilson, President, King Fresh“Brock will be instrumental in bringing a young person’s point of view to our team. As more buyers use social media and smart phones to benefit their business, Brock will be further exploring these means to communicate and book orders in new and exciting ways,” President Keith Wilson shares with me.

Brock comes to the company with produce experience and familiarity with King Fresh operations, both professionally and as part of the Wilson family legacy. Keith divulged that Brock, his son, first began working with the company in high school, working in its packing house and cold storage on the farms. His responsibilities spanned planting vineyards, tractor and truck driving, working in the shipping office, and quality control. Brock also attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

“I am extremely excited to be promoted to work with our marketing department. I will be working with some very experienced people I can learn from and I look forward to adding a different perspective to our sales team,” Brock says of his appointment.

This past summer, Brock gleaned additional produce understandings from working with WWOOF International as a volunteer. Over the course of 4 months, he traveled 28 states and over 15,000 miles while working on small-to-medium sized farms. The organization looks to link organic growers throughout the globe in order to promote education and a sustainable community. Brock credits the experience as providing him with important educational and networking opportunities with his peers.
