EDMONTON, AB – Early last week, the Canadian-based Little Potato Company announced its plans to develop and operate a new $20 million U.S. head office and processing facility in the village of DeForest near Madison, Wisconsin. The new facility will supplement the company’s head office counterparts in Edmonton, Alberta.

The new American head office, scheduled to open in early 2017, will feature state-of-the art equipment, and will serve customers throughout the U.S. when fully operational. The site was chosen for its proximity to an exceptional agricultural region and experienced, passionate growers, access to major transportation and logistics networks, and the availability of skilled workers.

“We are delighted with this new investment that represents our ongoing commitment to make a consistently exceptional product more available to our customers,” said Angela Santiago, CEO and Co-Founder. “This is particularly significant in our 20th anniversary year when we celebrate our leadership in service and innovation.”

In addition to the new head office, The Little Potato Company has invested extensively in infrastructure and added people to its sales and marketing team, as well as its supply chain, logistics, and distribution teams to ensure ongoing excellent customer service and meet ever-increasing consumer demand.

The Little Potato Company has a significant grower and distribution network throughout the U.S. and Canada for its proprietary line of creamer varieties, including Baby Boomer and Blushing Belle, and their Microwave and Oven|Grill Ready packs featuring the same Creamer potatoes and gluten-free spice packs with no added flavors, preservatives or colors.
