Mission Produce Takes to the Green For A Worthy Cause

<p><strong>Oxnard, CA</strong> - Mission Produce, an international entity in the avocado and asparagus industry, is hosting its First Annual Charity Golf Tournament. The event will be held on April 12, 2012, at the Moorpark Country Club. The tournament supports Ventura County Food Share and all proceeds from the tournament will go to the organization.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Keith Barnard, Field Representative for Mission Produce, tells AndNowUKnow, “We thought it would be awesome to get all our friends, growers, and suppliers together to raise money for a good cause. It will be an great tournament with a good showing and support group."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The day will feature an 11:00 AM check-in, four man scramble format, a shotgun start, and the availability of hole sponsorships, according to recent registration materials. Mission produce will also be conducting a raffle and silent auction at the event, as well as a dinner. Food Share is a not for profit organization devoted to feeding, nourishing and educating those in need within Ventura County. The non-profit educates those in the community about those who are hungry in the population and the causes that lead to that issue.
