LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA - Expansion is the name of the game for LIV Organic Produce and all due to heightened retail demand for the company’s growing portfolio. This fall, the company is kicking off its new organic crop potato season on the eastern slopes of Washington State as fresh produce departments look for more consistent, quality, and flavorful supplies to respond to the desires of the consumer's grocery basket.
“Demand is high with good supplies, all of which is making the market on pricing remain firm for great quality product,” Co-Founder Anthony Innocenti shares with me. “We can ship seven days a week out of Los Angeles, California, along with our organic onions, hard squash, and citrus to expedite shipping. We understand that shipping and transportation are areas where more retailers are looking for added value, so we are listening to their challenges and creating opportunities.”
LIV Organic offers 50 lb bulk A-size, 50 lb bulk B-size, and 16 x 3 lb and 10 x 5 lb bags on all three varieties of reds, russets, and yellows.
“We can offer custom program pricing for any duration of time to all retailers across the nation. With the fall and winter around the corner, all these key drivers in the produce department need to be shown with larger displays than the summer months to get people thinking about how the time is coming to get those recipes out for the many different ways to prepare their potato dishes,” Anthony says.
LIV Organic’s expansion into Washington allows the company to create a 52-week portfolio of organic potatoes. As Anthony shared with us earlier this summer, the team wanted to develop this in a thoughtful manner that would enable the company to expand acreage over the next few years moving forward. LIV wanted to ensure consistency of product by testing multiple varieties and different growing regions to ensure the highest quality and sustainable growth for our grower partners.
It is never too early to get those potato programs on the books for a busy fall and winter holiday season. With companies like LIV Organic, a one-stop-shop makes it even easier.
