Save Mart Names Nicole Pesco as its New CEO

MODESTO, CA – Ready to energize and strengthen its brand of stores, The Save Mart Companies has announced a new Chief Executive Officer to lead its executives and company. Nicole Piccinini Pesco has been named to the CEO position, with a history of buy-side experience to guide her.

Most recently serving as the company’s Co-President, and Chief Strategy and Branding Officer, Nicole is also a more intimate part of the Save Mart family. Nicole is the daughter of Save Mart’s longtime CEO, Chairman, and Owner Bob Piccinini, who passed away last year.

Nicole first began her buy-side history as a Service Clerk during summer vacations, before moving up through the ranks in roles of increasing responsibility in accounting, enterprise systems implementation, marketing, and merchandising. 

The new CEO has been instrumental to the company in her innovative approaches to retail, Save Mart states on its website. Nicole’s passion for food and a customer-centric focus has lent a hand to successful projects such as Save Mart’s newest store concept in over 20 years

The company further stated that Nicole is committed to growing the market share of Save Mart, Lucky, and FoodMaxx, by reinvigorating each brand. Nicole has a wealth of experience in retail in other industries, including professional skills and degrees obtained in fashion. She has completed coursework in finance, marketing, and management at New York University, in addition to undergraduate classes at University of California Los Angeles. 

In this executive appointment, Nicole will further to maintain Save Mart’s strong ties with its communities, such as donations to communities in California and Northern Nevada. Nicole also sits on the Save Mart CARES Foundation Board of Directors, and the Board of the California Grocers Association.
