Astin Strawberry Exchange

With a new 150 acre land acquisition, Astin Farms has expanded its growing presence for the upcoming 2015-2016 season.
The new farm will complement the existing 1,200 acres that were farmed last season and give the Astin marketing group five million cases during the Winter strawberry season. To accommodate the new acreage, an additional 10,000 feet of refrigerated cold storage has been added and two more large pre-cooling units.
The Plant City facility will now be able to pre-cool over five truckloads of fruit at any given time. Having increased, efficient pre-cooling capacity will significantly improve the overall quality of the fruit.
