The company’s net earnings of decreased from $205 million in the same period last year to $190 million. Excluding restructuring and related charges, adjusted net earnings increased 6% from $207 million in last year’s quarter to $220 million.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/bolthouse022013body.jpg" alt="Campbells Bolthouse images" />President and CEO Denise Morrison, noted that the company’ acquisition of Bolthouse Farms has provided the foundation to accelerate growth. “Our newly acquired Bolthouse Farms business delivered solid results in the fresh carrots, beverages and salad dressings categories, driven by innovation and increased distribution. The Bolthouse Farms integration is also progressing well.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">"Bolthouse Farms gives us strong credentials in the packaged fresh category in the retail perimeter–a terrain much broader than beverages and salad dressings.
