<p>Despite challenges posed by weather and supplies, this season has been good overall for L&amp;M Companies' New Mexico onion deal. The company is currently harvesting onions out of Carzalia, New Mexico and has just kicked off its Southern Colorado harvest with good quality. The crop is harvested in a location well-positioned to service many parts of the country. Harvest is expected to last into November.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Not far ahead, the western Kansas Harvest will begin in late August and a large crop of yellow and red onions with excellent quality is expected.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Additionally, L&amp;M’s Rocky Ford, CO location will serve as host to the United Fresh 2013 Fresh Impact tour on Wednesday, August 28th where there will be a Rocky Ford Produce Industry Town Hall Breakfast.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The tour will discuss critical industry issues including food safety, immigration reform, and increasing consumption to maximize produce sales. The breakfast meeting will be followed by tours of local farms and warehouse operations.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
