The report, titled “Good Things Are Our Greatest Responsibility,” highlighted the company’s strategic approach to sustainability, according to a press release. Results of Sysco’s sustainability efforts follow below.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Over the past six years, the energy usage in the company’s warehouses decreased by 19 percent, despite a 19 percent increase in warehouse volumes.<img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/562771_10150619968972085_466146878_n.jpeg" alt="Sysco Sustainability Report Images" />Fleet improvements included the addition of 55 low-emission liquid natural gas trucks to the company’s fleet. The company now has a total of 165.
