Giumarra Reedley will have a healthy stone fruit season with ideal growing conditions and a warm spring, with fresh new retail promotions ahead. Consumers will see sweet, flavorful stone fruit varieties, including apricots, nectarines, peaches, plums, and pluots, out of California. Despite the drought, the company has employed sustainable practices to conserve water and keep the fruit strong and plentiful. As a result, Giumarra Reedley will have a healthy supply of fruit this year. Jeannine Martin, Director of Sales, tells us, “This year, we’ve got new creative consumer programs in place including our ‘Easy as Pie’ promotion. Thanks to our new merchandising displays, it looks like it’s going to be an exciting year ahead for stone fruit.”

Booth Ranches’ owner Loren Booth is encouraging those in the agriculture industry to apply for the California Agriculture Leadership Foundation’s next class – Class 45. This 16 month program is designed to train and develop leaders within the industry through personalized coaching, classroom presentations, unique learning opportunities, and more. As a non-profit, CALF relies on the support of the agriculture community. Loren has offered to match dollar for dollar any new donations up to one million dollars to help raise funds for CALF’s current campaign. Tracy Jones, VP of Domestic Sales, tells AndNowUKnow, “The CALF program is a great opportunity to further develop our industry’s leaders. Continued education and dialogue is a must as our industry is continuously changing. Loren Booth’s million dollar challenge is testimony to the benefits and success this program provides to individuals.”
