SANTA MARIA, CA - Oh snap! A new foodservice item is on the scene courtesy of Gold Coast Packing. The grower-shipper has rolled out its new 2 lb pack of Snap Peas, designed to boost menu creation while minimizing back-of-house labor.
“We are always looking to diversify our product offerings both for Foodservice and Retail,” said Robb Bertels, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “When reviewing what would be a great new addition to our lineup that would benefit not only our customers but our growing partners, snap peas were the perfect solution.”
The new 2 lb Snap Peas are available in a 3x2 lb Foodservice Pack, according to a release, and come washed and ready to use. The offering is year-round, and the nutrient-rich veg can be used center-plate, as a side dish, or added to a salad bar.
Gold Coast will show off the snap peas at this year’s IFPA Foodservice Conference in Monterey, California, on July 28.
“Our customers have requested unique items that add value to their menus but also help with labor. Our snap peas fit that request, and we are excited to introduce them to our Value-Added Foodservice Lineup,” added Crystal Chavez, Marketing Coordinator.
