Inaugural Organic Grower Summit Education Session Planning Underway

SALINAS, CA - With limited exhibitor booths left available for the inaugural Organic Grower Summit on December 13-14, planning is well underway for educational panels at the highly-anticipated event. Sessions at the Monterey, California-event will include a range of topics designed to inform and engage organic growers, farmers and producers, and their service and supply chain partners. Farm soil management, environmentally sustainable packaging, advances in agricultural technology, and discussions with elected state and federal officials on key issues facing agriculture are among the topics that will be addressed by an illustrious line of speakers.

According to a press release, a series of six educational sessions, put together by OGS partners CCOF and the Organic Produce Network (OPN), will provide information vital to organic farmers and ranchers, as well as an overview of the challenges and opportunities in the production of organic fresh food. The OGS is one of the first events specifically designed to bring organic fresh food producers and their service and supply chain partners together for information, education, and networking opportunities.

With 39 sponsors already committed to the event, OGS exhibitors will include seed, packaging, soil amendment, food safety, ag technology, and equipment manufacturers connecting with organic field production staff, supply chain managers, pest management advisors, and food safety experts.
