Millennium Pacific is debuting a new, innovative variety in its tomato program, the Jubilee Cocktails. This tri-color cocktail variety with red, orange and yellow tomatoes, offers a balanced eating experience with a tasty, old fashioned tomato flavor. The variety is packaged in 1 pound clamshells that offer a clean and clear view of the product. Reza Bakhtiyari, Marketing Manager, tells AndNowUKnow, "We are one of only a small number of growers in the west that is harvesting this variety of cocktail tomato and we are excited to add these splashes of color to produce departments."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Pandol Associates Marketing has wrapped up the first successful trial run of its Sweet Cheeks program out of Sonora, Mexico. Sweet Cheeks are top-end honeydew melons that must meet specific maturity requirements and be firm as well as blemish-free. The company is slated to start up a more extensive program in September that is expected to last through November. Owner, Jim Pandol, tells AndNowUKnow, “We’re currently looking to enlist more melon growers in the program that meet our high standards of quality to provide Sweet Cheeks on a year-round basis.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
