Misionero Vegetables is starting off 2014 the right way, with growth and expansion in mind. Misionero continues to focus on innovation with the expansion of its Garden Life and Earth Greens lines with new products and even tastier varieties. The new Garden Life Super Kale Slaw continues to see great customer feedback, especially as brussels sprouts become the fastest growing category. Just recently launched, the company’s Earth Greens Sugar Snap Peas are also becoming a very large category on the organic line. These peas are available year-round and are offered in two different sizes: 12 ounce and 24 ounce. Finally, the company has just expanded its lemony blend product line to include Lemony Arugula and Lemony Spinach Blends. Dan Canales, VP of Sales and Marketing, tells AndNowUKnow, “We’re seeing lots of good consumer feedback for our products as we continue to expand our innovative salad offerings. Our goal is to bring flavor back in the salad category.”

Homegrown Organic Farms is building upon the momentum of this past year with exciting new projects on the horizon for 2014. The company is planning to launch a new value-added food product line with more exciting details to follow in the coming months. Homegrown will also continue to see volume increases on all stonefruit varieties in 2014, including white flesh nectarines, which will be a first for the company. Cherie France, Marketing Manager, tells AndNowUKnow, “With exciting proprietary variety news to come this Spring, we remain committed to both our customers and our growers and hope to better serve both through the anticipated growth and development of our program.”
