<p><strong>WENATCHEE, WA</strong> – Stemilt Growers partnered with the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society in Wenatchee, Washington for a great platform this December, “A Cause for Paws.” The fundraiser and adopt-a-thon hosted by the partnership benefits local pets in need. The event raised $2,080 for the private non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1967, through education, protection, and pet adoptions.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The event marked the first time that the company had engaged in something of this kind. Stemilt also helped to promote the event through local radio stations and social media sites. The company also had volunteers at the event to collect donations. Stemilt marketing director Roger Pepperl, stated, “The community rallied around this event to support our local pets in need.
