Stemilt Took to the Slopes With the 19th annual Apple Cup Invitational

<p><strong>WENATCHEE, WA</strong> – Stemilt Growers took to the slopes this past week as the company sponsored the 19th annual Apple Cup Invitational races at Mission Ridge Ski &amp; Board Resort near Wenatchee, Washington, according to a press release. Over 160 youth skiers from three states came out for the event, which boasted two giant slalom races for three age groups, between six and twelve years old. Each participant was given a Stemilt Fuji apple post race.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The corporate sponsorship allows Stemilt to support local athletes in the community while also promoting healthy active living. Mission Ridge Ski Education Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to providing excellent training and competition experience to skiers of all abilities. At present, the foundation trains fifty-five athletes between the ages of seven and nineteen. Stemilt Marketing Director, Roger Pepperl, states, “The Mission Ridge Ski Team has a long history of developing athletes both on the slopes and off.
