Mexico is excited to promote what it is believed to be another record-breaking season of avocado production. Mexico expects to supply over 850 million pounds of fresh avocados across the country and predicts North American growing regions will represent over 85% of the industry’s projected 1.6 billion pounds of avocado sales in the coming year, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">MHAIA plans to allow retailers to get involved in radio spots to generate local market exposure, which will air in 12 major U.S. markets that include New York, Chicago, St. Louis, and Pittsburgh with over 52 million impressions.
