Although the stone fruit season for Bari Produce started a little earlier than expected, the company is welcoming great projected volumes and a new innovation. Heat spells at the end of April as well as from the 5th to the 10th of May caused the crop to come on 5-7 days early. Though size may be a bit smaller than anticipated, the fruit is presenting great eating quality.

This season, Bari Produce is introducing new packaging for its plum offerings. The company is presenting a new high graphic, stand up bag for consumers. Justin Bedwell, President of Bari Produce, tells AndNowUKnow, "The grab n' go style with convenient handle makes it the perfect item for families on the move and fits neatly into the consumer fridge and in retailers' produce displays." The 2 lb. weighted bag forms sleekly to the fruit which adds to its aesthetic appeal. Plums will begin to pick up momentum from mid June through the end of September.

The company is currently harvesting out of Fresno County, California offering yellow peaches and nectarines. The grower is already halfway through its apricot harvest with increased volumes over last year due to the company's new plantings.
