ZAANDAM, NETHERLANDS - Ahold Delhaize’s Supervisory Board is showing its support for Peter Agnefjäll, as it has proposed his reappointment as a member and Chair.
“I am honored and humbled by the trust placed in me by my Supervisory Board colleagues,” stated Agnefjäll. “I have been impressed with the dedication and service to the communities our brands have displayed in the past few years, and it would be my pleasure to continue to support the leadership of the company going forward.”
The proposed reappointment will take place at the retailer’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders on April 12, 2023, a release stated.
Agnefjäll has been a member of the Supervisory Board since April 2019, and he was appointed as Chair on January 1, 2021. Additionally, he is a member of the Governance and Nomination Committee as well as the Remuneration Committee. With his reappointment, Agnefjäll will serve on the Board for another four-year term, subject to shareholder approval.
“Peter has been an inspiring leader for our Supervisory Board since 2021, and he has built a strong and diverse Board team,” said Helen Weir, Chair of the Governance and Nomination Committee. “We look forward to his continued leadership as the company delivers on the next phase of its Leading Together strategy.”
