Baloian Farms Encourages Young Talent in Sales Department
- by Alexis Schreiber
FRESNO, CA - Baloian Farms recently promoted young talent within its sales department at its headquarters. Reiley Johnstone, former Logistics/Consolidation Coordinator, has been moved to Sales, and Janet Torres, previously part of the accounting department, will be taking over the Logistics/Consolidation Coordinator position.
“As we gear up for our California Spring Green Bell Pepper season in Thermal, California,” the company stated in a press release, “we are enthusiastic to see what fresh ideas and youthful energy Reiley and Janet will contribute to the team.”
After graduating with an Agriculture Business degree from Fresno State, Johnstone started with Baloian Farms in April 2017. When he’s not sitting at the sales desk, he enjoys bull riding and dirt bike riding. Both activities may have gotten the better of him this past winter, though, as he suffered from a double injury to his left leg. The company expressed excitement to watch Johnstone take on the challenges of the sales arena with the same enthusiasm he has shown for his outside activities.
In June 2013, Torres became a part of the Baloian Farms team. Before moving to the receptionist position in the front office, she started in the packing facility for the first couple of years. From there, she became a part of the accounting department and excelled at working with both accounts receivable and accounts payable. The company said it has enjoyed watching her grow in each new position and looks forward to seeing her contribute to the sales department. When she’s not in the office, Torres enjoys going to concerts with friends. To date, she says, without a doubt, that seeing Derks Bentley in concert has been her favorite!
