CALIFORNIA & MEXICO - 2024 is flying by, and spring is nearly here! With strawberries remaining in high demand, Bobalu is helping retailers cater to consumers’ needs with its California and Mexico crops.

“Our growing regions in Mexico continue to cross consistent volume each day. Fruit color, size, and flavor are good as they work through their peak to support the growing spring demand at retail,” the company wrote on Friday, February 23. “Our QC team remains focused on quality and consistency in each pack. Numbers should continue at this level for the next few weeks depending on weather conditions.”

Looking to its Oxnard and Santa Maria, California, crops, Bobalu has continued to work through unsettled winter weather as California experienced rain in the forecast almost every week. The grower reports that, as we near the start of spring next month, the plants will continue to mature and push fruit out regardless of the occasional rain.

“In Oxnard, we are now on a regular rotation and the plants are loaded with bloom and fruit in all stages of color,” the company continued in its release. “We do have rain in the forecast one day [this] week but will harvest around it and ensure the best color and quality goes in the box. The fruit size and flavor are excellent right now, and the consumers are very happy with their purchases as they come back for more and comment on our social media channels.”
