WATSONVILLE, CA – California Giant Berry Farms is promoting Nick Chappell to Director of Retail Sales.
Throughout his eleven years at the company, Chappell has shown an exemplary ability to grow the business and has quickly proven his leadership skills time after time. In this new role, he will be responsible for developing the company’s strategic sales plan, as well as oversee the daily sales operations, develop new accounts, and recommend training opportunities and visibility for the team, according to a press release.
Chappell said in a press release that he looks forward to work with the sales team at California Giant to develop new customers, new outlets, and continue improving the company’s programs with existing key customers.
“The end of the year timing is perfect to take a fresh look at the business, our processes, and ways to improve in 2016,” he said. “I am excited about what’s ahead for all of us as we continue to build our team and success for the company.”
Anthony Gallino, Vice President of Sales, was fully confident in Chappell’s leadership skills, complimenting him on his ability to work well with the whole group.
“Nick also serves as a valuable liaison to the field department, so he is definitely the right person for the job,” said Gallino. “This is a new position created here at Cal Giant and we are really excited to see these new opportunities emerge as our company continues to expand.”
Chappell was recently selected as one of four recipients of the United Fresh Caplan Family Scholarship program attending the Washington Conference. He lives in Aptos, California with his wife Lori and young daughter, Spencer.
