GILROY, CA - More individuals are getting vaccinated with each day that passes, and our industry has made monumental efforts to support the cause. Christopher Ranch was one of the most recent suppliers to join the push, having partnered with public health officials from Santa Clara County to bring 1,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine to Gilroy, California.

Christopher Ranch reported in a press release that vaccination rates among California farm workers are significantly lower than statewide averages. Dozens of health officials were on site for this event and worked hand in hand with the grower to spread awareness about the importance of receiving the vaccine.

The past year has been a challenging one, but Christopher Ranch is doing all it can to maintain fresh produce supplies for all of its products, including garlic, shallots, bell peppers, ginger, and cherries. The company’s employees have continued to perform their essential jobs day in and day out since the start of the pandemic.

The second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was administered by the county on March 26, and another event will take place on April 2.

For more information on the industry’s vaccination efforts, keep an eye out for reports from ANUK.
