SALINAS, CA - True Leaf Farms and Church Brothers Farms are welcoming a new member to the executive family. De Ann Davis will take on the position of Vice President of Food Safety and Quality at the organization and be reporting to CEO Brian Church.
“With De Ann’s education, skill set and experience, we will continue to drive innovation in our food safety and quality programs,” said Brian Church in a recent press release.
Davis’s responsibilities in her new role will include strategic development and implementation of food safety and quality programs across all farming, harvesting, and processing operations in the United States and Mexico.
Prepping her for her new position at Church Brothers, Davis’s career includes her role as Vice President of Quality and Food Safety at Earthbound Farm, and as Chief Food Safety Officer at Kraft Foods. On top of these achievements, Davis has also worked in leadership roles at Alberto Culver, Kimberly-Clark, The Dial Corporation, and Procter & Gamble.
Further, her education background boasts of accomplishments that have led Davis to a successful career. She obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from San Diego’s Point Loma College and a PhD in biochemistry and biophysics from Texas A&M University. On top of her impressive education, Davis has been a diplomat for the American Board of Toxicology since 1996.
