<p>Mexican fruit export leader, Coliman group, is celebrating 50 years in the industry, reaffirming its commitment to offering the best flavor, quality, and nutrition across its product line. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Founded in 1963, the company now exports to 11 countries and is opening distribution centers in several states of Mexico.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">The export of bananas and avocados to the United States and Europe represents a substantial part of the company’s business, noted Jorge Aguilar Jr., Corporate Divisional Director. "The company was also one of the first to venture in to the Asian export market. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>“We saw a very important niche in Asia. No one had ventured there."</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>"The group was born in the state of Colima, hence the name," Aguilar. There may be other companies that offer the same products as us, but they don’t have the same quality control" he said.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">In the future, Aguilar stated that as a third generation, he intends to continue the philosophy of values that his grandfather started. The company aims to target the central and eastern United States, areas which host a large Latino population.
