CORAL GABLES, FL - Del Monte Fresh Produce is at it again this summer, wowing the retail crowds with its drive and ambition to bring top-of-the-class products to customers across the country. With the inaugural United Fresh LIVE! hosting many advantages this past June, Del Monte Fresh jumped at the opportunity to bring its fresh innovations to the busy virtual forum and new products to boot.
“This year, we took a different approach to the show and highlighted our innovations rather than simply featuring our commodities,” Elana Gold, Chief Marketing Officer, tells me as she reflects on the event. “Our new Homestyle Guacamole was showcased in the Digital Show Preview and Featured Product Showcase. We also highlighted our other innovations throughout our booth including Honeyglow® Pineapple, MAG® Melon, CAULILINI® baby cauliflower, and Del Monte Gold® Pineapple–some of our favorite products ever!”
Elana adds that the Del Monte® brand is recognized by consumers worldwide as a symbol of trusted product quality, freshness, and reliability—a testament to the company’s passionate work ethic around new products that meet changing lifestyles and emerging consumer needs.
“We have noticed an increasing demand for products that will help our consumers—especially our millennial consumers—introduce fresh fruits and vegetables to their lunches and afternoon snacks in tasty and convenient ways, something these products in particular (especially our Homestyle Guacamole) fulfill,” Elana expresses.
Such a great vision was only elevated by an impressive virtual experience.
“United Fresh did a great job putting together a virtual show with such short notice when they could have canceled the event altogether,” Elana tells me as she reflects on the show. “Instead, they provided a platform where exhibitors and attendees could communicate and showcase their products and services in a unique way.”
This new virtual show medium also allowed the Del Monte Fresh team to have more staff attend than it might have otherwise, and helped the company interact with key industry leaders from around the world.
“The platform also provided great insights on booth visitors and content viewed, which is more difficult to track at an in-person event. Additionally, exhibitors and attendees have the ability to continue to access the platform until September, giving us an opportunity to refresh our content as we wish,” Elana shares.
Another benefit continuing to pay it forward from United Fresh LIVE! is being able to access the general sessions and workshops at any time, providing a summer and fall full of education and insight.
