NOGALES, AZ - Big things are in the works for Delta Fresh Sales as the year-round shipper has unveiled its latest infrastructure project in Pharr, Texas. Construction is set to begin this month and will greatly increase its warehouse capabilities.
“We are very happy to see a project of this scope come to fruition,” said Thanasi Panousopoulos, Chief Executive Officer and Owner, who has been instrumental in getting the project off the ground. “It will be a huge increase in much-needed modernized warehouse space for the rapidly expanding fresh fruit and vegetable deal here in the Valley. This project will provide a benefit for the state of Texas, the Mexican exporting community, and the produce industry across North America as a whole.”
This project will include four to six separate facilities constructed in segments, a release stated. In total, upon completion, it will sit at more than 1 million square feet on 80 acres of land.
“Included in this project will be new installations for Delta Fresh to help with our growth in utilizing the Pharr port during our West Mexico Winter production as well our spring, summer, and fall productions are sourced from across Mexico,” added Panousopoulos.
