<p>Driscoll's recently took part in a New York City Holiday Berry Tasting Event in the Big Apple. November 7th was host to special celebrity guests James Beard, cook-book author of more than 10 books and International Association of Culinary Profressionals (IACP) award winner Dorie Greenspan.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/driscolls111513ban.jpg" alt="images 111513" /></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>In addition, the day hosted a gathering of food bloggers and media that met at The Daily Meal’s Kitchen in New York City. Food bloggers were asked to bring a raspberry creation to the event, which was then entered into a tasting contest. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Frances Dillard, Director of Marketing, told AndNowUKnow, "Berries are the perfect item to feature in produce departments during the holidays. As fruit consumption increases, more chefs and at-home cooks are using berries in dishes ranging from desserts and appetizers to more savory entrees and sides. There is no better way to enhance a holiday meal then with an array of recipes that the berry portfolio influences."</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The winning recipe went to Renee Iseson of food blog KitchenConumdrum with her Raspberry Chocolate Ganache Tart.
