Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc. is furthering its commitment to healthy eating and lifestyles. The company has donated salad bars to eight Seminole County elementary and high schools in Orlando, Florida this month as part of United Fresh Produce Association Foundation’s and first lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move Salad Bars to Schools” initiative. Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc. was joined by Adam Putnam, Florida Commissioner of Agriculture, at the April 3rd inauguration ceremony at Oviedo High School.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Dan Duda, President and COO, responds to the impact and the influence of the initiative and states, “We keep trying to look at how do we increase consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables to fight obesity and to be able to have healthy eating and lifestyles. So I think that this is something that is very, very important and very good for our industry. It gives people, young people, that opportunity to take stuff that is good for them and be able to continue with that healthy lifestyle.”<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">With the donation, Duda will be offering a variety of fresh vegetables and fruits to over 16,000 children as part of the initiative. The company has also donated 40,000 pounds of fresh produce to Seminole County Public Schools’ Families in Transition program. Duda has been accepted as a National Strategic Partner of the United States Department of Agriculture’s Nutrition Communicator’s Network.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
