“This period represents the best table grape production in the Northern Hemisphere,” shares Jack. “California’s climate and location allow for excellent development of the highest quality product coupled with the best varieties available.”
Four Star Fruit is kicking off its California table grape season with its green Pristine variety, with the red seedless Holiday variety soon to follow. “The heat has been relentless this summer, creating challenges for CA table grape growers throughout the San Joaquin Valley,” Jack added, sharing some insight into the current market. “This is mostly a yield discussion as the highest volume is still to come.”
