The fruit has extraordinary length, an awesome crunch and wonderful sweet flavor, hence the name. The variety is picked with a minimum of 18 brix of sugar and can get up to 22 brix quite easily offering a sweetness and flavor that does not overpower. Giumarra Vineyards is licensing the Sweetie to countries such as Brazil, Chile, and Peru among others and hopes to build a consistent brand for retail business year round.
