PORTLAND, OR - For GLOBALG.A.P., sustainability is one of its core tenets, which makes its recent ISEAL Community Member status that much more important to the organization. Following a months-long qualification process, the industry ally was given membership status, which further solidifies its commitment to taking on sustainability challenges.

GLOBALG.A.P. was given ISEAL Community Member status, solidifying its commitment to taking on sustainability challenges

As an ISEAL Community Member, GLOBALG.A.P. will collaborate with other well-known members and their sustainability systems from diverse industries to analyze some of the biggest environmental challenges.

To qualify as an ISEAL Community Member, GLOBALG.A.P. conducted a self-assessed gap analysis against the desired outcomes of the ISEAL Standard-Setting, Assurance, and Impacts Codes. The organization then drafted an improvement plan outlining objectives and areas that need special attention. GLOBALG.A.P. is also developing a monitoring and evaluation system, which will play a key role as it takes the next steps toward achieving ISEAL Code Compliant status.
