CHICAGO, IL - Leaning into the virtual format for events to spread more industry knowledge, Hazel Technologies, known for its fresh produce solutions that extend shelf-life, increase sales, and fight food waste, has announced its first-ever virtual Kiwi Quality Summit.

Over the past several months, the solutions company has held these virtual events for apples, cherries, and grapes, amongst others, and the Kiwi Quality Summit will keep a similar format. The event will take place on Tuesday, June 29, for U.S. attendees and on Wednesday, June 30, for those participating from New Zealand.

The summit, according to a press release, will feature keynote speakers from across the industry as the 2021 New Zealand kiwifruit season begins. Also, the event will include presentations on innovation and cutting-edge pre- and post-harvest technologies.

Additionally, Kelly Hale, Vice President of Sales at Hazel Tech, will moderate a grower’s perspective panel featuring Cam Clayton of DMS Progrowers, Dwayne Farrington of Farmlands Co-Op, and Gary Geurts, formerly of Apata. Throughout the panel, the growers will share their experiences on pre-harvest budbreak optimization solutions and plans for the upcoming season.
