Lipman Family Farms Debuts Expanded Compostable Packaging for Organic Offerings; Sarah Miller Discusses
IMMOKLEE, FL - With the countdown to September's upcoming trade shows winding down, the anticipation is palpable, and Lipman Family Farms’ recent announcement is only adding to the excitement. The fresh produce purveyor revealed that it has launched a new offering within its compostable packaging line for its organic products, which will be spotlighted at both the Southeast Produce Council's (SEPC) Southern Innovations and Organic Produce Network's (OPN) Organic Produce Summit (OPS).
“As the demand for organic continues to rise, we’re committed to providing consumers with the freshest produce in nature through our Grown True label here at Lipman,” said Sarah Miller, General Manager. “We’re excited to launch new compostable packaging for our organic line to provide consumers and retailers with a one hundred percent backyard compostable solution for a guilt-free purchasing experience.”
The compostable packaging was designed for Lipman’s organic grape tomatoes, mini cucumbers, green beans, and mini sweet peppers under the grower’s Grown True Organic line, according to a press release. As consumer demand continues to increase for environmentally friendly products and sourcing, this newly expanded compostable packaging meets those demands and offers buyers an easy-to-display option.
Shelf-ready, the compostable packaging features a clamshell design that ensures ease in stacking and increased efficiencies in the retail space as well. The packaging is fully at-home compostable, and each pack features a QR code that outlines the step-by-step process on how to compost, making it simple for shoppers to reduce their environmental footprint from home.
Lipman’s Grown True organic line is exclusively grown in organic acreage across North America, ensuring a surety of supply all year round. The products are grown and harvested without use of synthetic fertilizers, are USDA certified, and hold the highest standards of food safety.
