Potandon Produce is announcing that it has become the exclusive marketing agent for the Highland Growers Cooperative and its associated packing facility Idaho Sunfresh located in Rigby, Idaho.
With this new addition, Potandon now represents six cooperatives in Idaho and nine cooperatives nationwide, with a total of 15 potato packing facilities, according to a press release.
"We have been working with Highland and Idaho Sunfresh for the past several weeks to complete the deal and are now pleased to have the opportunity to grow our Idaho Russet Burbank potato supply base," remarked Senior Vice President of Sales for Potandon, Dick Thomas. "With this added high quality supply, Potandon will be in an even stronger position to continue providing superior service to existing customers and allow us to pursue new foodservice and retail customers."
One of the new Idaho Sunfresh owners, Dave Robison said, "The Highland growers are quality-driven and have an excellent reputation of putting out a great crop year after year. Our prior experience with Potandon’s processes and its staff made the decision to join them quite easy and we are looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship."
