<p> AndNowUKnow discovered by researching Vertical Research Partners, and sources that include Chip Dillon and James Armstrong, that the price of paper is on the rise.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>RKT Increase Effective August 1st – We learned from trade sources that RockTenn (the #2 US containerboard producer) began notifying its independent box plant customers on Monday that it would raise both linerboard and corrugated medium prices by $50 per ton effective August 1st. This increase is the same from current levels throughout the US. We understand that RKT is also announcing a corrugated box price increase as well. RKT is the second to announce an increase – following KapStone''s $50/ton move for August 17th announced last week.
