<p>PRO*ACT’s Greener Fields Together and SureHarvest have confirmed that two of its national farm partners, Rainier Fruit Company and Naturipe, have demonstrated <B>impressive accomplishments in improving sustainability</b> in the produce supply chain, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><iframe width="480" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/5CLfmGo5Fd0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Rainier Fruit Company has introduced a variety of initiatives aimed at fostering a <B>healthier workplace</b> as part of its Good Stewardship Program. It has reduced healthcare costs and safety incidents, retained highly engaged employees, and established a corporate Wellness Team that includes an on-site medical clinic, healthful foods at on-site cafeterias, annual flu shots, and an annual Wellness Day, a three-quarter-mile walking path, individual and team athletic activities, an injury prevention program, ergonomic modifications to the workplace, and regular stretching exercises for injury prevention.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Meanwhile, Naturipe has made significant progress in establishing and executing a more <B>comprehensive and effective water management program</b> at its California blueberry operations. These improvements to its 100% drip irrigation system include sophisticated irrigation management software that assists with scheduling, monitoring, measuring, and verifying the optimal amounts of water to apply, as well as water treatments that ensure water flow and food safety.
