<p>Produce for Kids® is kicking off their second annual <I>Healthy Families, Helping Kids</i> this September to increase produce consumption for consumers and raise money for local health and nutrition-based classroom projects.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> More than 20 fresh fruit and vegetable suppliers, including ACME Markets, Meijer, and Publix Super Market will support the campaign by making a consumption-based donation to DonorsChoose.org, an online charity aimed at helping public and charter schoolteachers across Americas obtain the supplies needed for their classrooms, according to a press release. Local classrooms benefit when shoppers buy items from any of the participating suppliers.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Shoppers can find Produce for Kids signage featuring characters from the popular Sprout® television show, <I>The Chica Show</i>, in the produce section of more than 1,300 grocery stores in 15 states starting this September through October.
