LEAMINGTON, ONTARIO, CANADA - Growing its business and its product portfolio, Pure Flavor® recently announced the acquisition of MightyVine®, a Midwest controlled environment agriculture (CEA) grower and brand. This acquisition fuels the greenhouse grower’s continuous plans for expansion across its greenhouses and distribution centers.

Jamie Moracci, President, Pure Flavor®“We continue to see significant growth and demand for the Pure Flavor brand across North America which has prompted us to strategically invest in specific regions. The opportunity to add MightyVine to our family of growers will allow us to further extend our reach into the Midwest and beyond,” commented Jamie Moracci, President of Pure Flavor. “Expanding our capacity with lit crop production enables us to service the Midwest with U.S.A grown tomatoes; this further complements our Southeast programs from our Peach County, Georgia, facility.”

One of the strategic aspects of the acquisition is the location of MightyVine’s 30-acre facility. Located just west of Chicago, the production provides a continuous supply of fresh, greenhouse grown tomatoes year-round, as a press release outlined.

To continue fueling strategic growth, Pure Flavor® recently announced the acquisition of MightyVine®, a Midwest CEA grower and brand

The Georgia greenhouse, as Moracci remarked above, opened in late 2018. Here, Pure Flavor grows Tomatoes-On-The-Vine that are distributed to key retail and foodservice partners in Georgia, Florida, North and South Carolina, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Alabama.

Jeff Moracci, Chief Financial Officer, Pure Flavor®“The acquisition of MightyVine further demonstrates our company leadership’s ability to recognize and analyze strategic acquisition opportunities which continue to breathe enthusiasm into greater expansion possibilities,” said Jeff Moracci, Chief Financial Officer.

As the release outlined, the company’s strategic investments are focused on solidifying its future as an industry leader.

Matt Mastronardi, Executive Vice President, Pure Flavor®“As we welcome MightyVine to the Pure Flavor family, we look forward to growing existing business relationships that have flourished over the past several years in the Midwest under the MightyVine brand,” added Matt Mastronardi, Executive Vice President. “We will continue to bring flavorful greenhouse grown tomatoes, and much more, to those loyal business partners in the years to come.”

Jaime Moracci added some closing remarks on the strategic move.

“Increasing our owned acreage helps facilitate our growth alongside our grower partners and supports our need of scaling up our operations to drive efficiencies. We are excited to add MightyVine to our Pure Flavor family,” commented Jamie. “With expansion comes a need for greater resources, talent-wise, to support the growth. Pure Flavor continues to lead extensive recruitment drives at all its facilities.”
