Sakata Seed America Launches Website Focused on Controlled Environment Agriculture Offerings; Tracy Lee Zogby
MORGAN HILL, CA - As the online landscape continues to evolve, the produce industry is right there with it, as proven by Sakata Seed America and its newly launched website. The seed purveyor recently rolled out www.SakataCEA.com, a comprehensive site that breaks down the specifics of its controlled environment agriculture (CEA) offerings so potential customers can find the right product for their needs.
“We began to trial and explore existing Sakata genetics that showed promise for indoor and CEA environments,” said Tracy Lee Zogby, CEA Lead. “Our genetics are bred for exceptional horticultural traits, adaptability, and production benefits that were also applicable to various CEA environments.”
Staring in 2019, Sakata Seed America pivoted an array of its existing genetics that showed potential in the CEA market, a press release explained. Zogby, who had primarily worked in Sakata’s Home Garden group, spearheaded the program, which quickly showed synergy between the fast-evolving CEA market and the company’s existing business group.
“I think what puts us at an advantage is our expert knowledge in all applicable crop segments,” continued Zogby. “We aim to be a source of knowledge and support as the CEA market develops, and key players continue to navigate and build out their product assortments in somewhat uncharted waters.”
To support its CEA offerings, Sakata has launched its new website, which features a full-scale, online resource that catalogs all that the program provides. In addition to showcasing its CEA product portfolio, the site also had downloadable literature materials and tools for cultivation success, a digital sample ordering form and trialing information, a fully responsive seed distributor map, and a staff directory for easy access to support in one’s region.
“Through strategic collaborations, exceptional genetics, and continued breeding efforts coupled with expansion and investment in our Research & Development team, we feel well-equipped to grow our CEA partnerships and supply quality seed in strong supply to the category, backed by excellent service and support,” concluded Zogby.
