MODESTO, CA - With more than 25 years of experience in grocery retail, CPG, and more, Chris Hooks will be joining Save Mart Companies’ C-suite. The leader has been named as its new Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer, where he will enhance the retailer’s executive leadership and growth and innovation goals.

Hooks previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer at Save A Lot; Senior Vice President of Consumable Merchandising at Family Dollar; and EVP for Center Store, Fresh, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Brand Development at Topco Associates.

According to a release, Hooks also spent 11 years at H-E-B in merchandising, marketing, and store operations.
