Fresh Solution Network's Kathleen Triou Announces Side Delights® Newest Food Blogger Challenge
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – With bowls staking a place as one of the hottest food trends of the year—some even calling 2017 “The Year of Food Bowls”—Side Delights® jumps on the bandwagon with its popular blogger influencer marketing program that challenged participants to create recipes for “Potato Power Bowls” featuring Side Delights Steamables™ potatoes.
“Side Delights Steamables are triple-washed microwaveable in the bag, and ready to eat in 8 minutes—which is exactly the convenience that millennials and other busy shoppers are seeking,” said Kathleen Triou, President and CEO, in a press release. “This program leverages a popular trend to show food bloggers, home cooks, and food influencers one more way to enjoy Side Delights Steamables, and encourages them to share their recipes through social media channels, driving shoppers into the store.”
With past challenges including the #MashItOrSmashIt mashed potatoes recipe program and the #PotatoSaladRedux potato salad recipe program, this year’s #PotatoPowerBowl tapped into the growing popularity of bowls and asked participants to post their recipes on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using the challenge hashtag.
Participants were challenged to create one-bowl meal recipes with any form of potatoes as the base—mashed, smashed, hash brown, diced, fries, scalloped–layered with protein, more vegetables, and whatever else inspired them. Some of the most creative recipes included the Savory Potato Breakfast Bowl, the classic Twice Baked Potato Bowl, and the Nacho Potato Power Bowl, just in time for Super Bowl entertaining.
