Side Delights® Announces Winner of New Blogger Challenge and Consumer Contest

SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Side Delights® is riding the wave after another successful food blogger challenge. As part of its consumer-focused influencer marketing program, the company asks food bloggers to share unique branded potato recipes. In the latest challenge, bloggers were asked to pick their favorite potato recipe from Side Delight’s recipe database. Each blogger then prepared the recipe, making sure to snap a photo or two along the way, before writing about it and posting it to their audience. The twist, though, was to challenge their followers to select their own favorite potato recipe off of Side Delights website, which then counted as an entry into the consumer contest. One lucky consumer won an Instant Pot, and the blogger whose follower won was awarded the opportunity to go on a farm tour at one of the Fresh Solutions Network® partner farms.

According to a press release, the consumer winner was from Pennsylvania, and his entry was incentivized by blogger Lori Monte, chef, owner and author of The Kitchen Whisperer—a trending food blog with over half a million UVMs. Monte thus won the opportunity to tour Masser Potato Farms in her hometown state of Pennsylvania. Her favorite Side Delights recipe that she featured on her blog was Southwestern Stuffed Potatoes.

The program encourages relationships between food bloggers, home cooks, and food influencers and builds brand awareness for Side Delights. The blogger posts and photos link to the Side Delights website; they also are amplified through social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, which results in millions of impressions.

Masser Farms, an eighth-generation family-owned farm, is one of Fresh Solutions Network’s partners, and the farm in which Lori Monte was lucky enough to visit as part of her winnings.
