<p><strong>Visalia, CA</strong></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Sorma USA, a division of The Sorma Group of Italy, is celebrating its new manufacturing plant in Visalia, CA today.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>CEO Marco Bini says the new 45,000-square-foot building is being equipped with state of the art equipment and the company will hold an open house for leaders of the produce industry to display its latest equipment.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>New, modern equipment will print and assemble packaging material for produce and a crew of experienced and newly hired techs will assemble automated packing equipment.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Bini states Visalia was chosen due to its location, "In the center of the world's premier agricultural region, and the availability of both modern infrastructure and skilled labor." As part of its commitment to the community, Sorma USA has established Sorma Academy, a training lab designed to help develop the local talent that will be future technicians or have other opportunities to work with the packinghouses in the region.
