This location is perfect for Stemilt to grow the best tasting pears because of its fertile volcanic soil, pure mountain rivers and clean air brought in from the mountains. The area has been farmed for over 100 years by generations of local farmers, and this year's crop quality is outstanding. The harvest is underway, and Stemilt is currently packing them in its white Rushing Rivers pear cartons.
