A Tribute to Steve Grinstead

Monterey, CA<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">In this industry exclusive, we bid a bittersweet farewell to Steve Grinstead, CEO, Pro*Act and listen to what some of his colleagues have to say about his time with the company. <hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Tom Stenzel, President and CEO, United Fresh, joins AndNowUKnow to share his thoughts on the industry veteran, "Steve Grinstead, really I think, is one of the most passionate people I have ever met in the produce business. You really have a guy that lives, breathes and sleeps produce." Mr. Stenzel goes on to share how Mr. Grinstead treats produce not just as a professional business but as a personal one. He reflects that the industry is in his blood and he believes that he will return to it in one way or another.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Gene Loffredo, Board Chairman, Pro*Act, speaks of his impressions of Mr. Grinstead, "I first met Steve when he joined Pro*Act in January of 2005 and I took an immediate liking to Steve and embraced his leadership. Steve became part of Pro*Act at a time when it was still maturing and helped organize and take the entity of Pro*Act to another level." Mr. Loffredo, continues about Mr. Grinstead's contributions, as well as his ability to bring people together.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Kevin Fiori, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Sunkist Growers Inc., joins us to share a few words about Mr. Grinstead, "I've worked with Steve since he started with Fresh America back in the 80's. We had a very good relationship with Steve during those years and it continued through Pro*Act as well.
